Under the baton of Manfred Honeck, Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra has programmed the concert opener “Open Mind” for three performances in October at Heinz Hall, Pittsburgh, US.

He premiered the piece with the commissioner Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra (SRSO) on a tour to Tallinn and Turku followed by a performance at Berwaldhallen, Stockholm, that opened the Baltic Sea Festival in 2005. Manfred Honeck has also performed Open Mind with the Cleveland Orchestra, Stuttgart Staatsorchester and Hallé Symphony Orchestra, Manchester and he has recorded the piece with SRSO at the Daphne Records label.
